Jean-François Nobert has been involved with Junto since 2014, he has participated in the organization of several events and is a member of the board of directors. Professionally, he has worked for the CCR refinery since 2009, where he works as a planner for an electrical maintenance department.
During his studies at the Polyvalente Fernand-Lefebvre of Sorel his team won gold at the Défi genie inventif, their prototype was exhibited at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in Paris. At the CÉGEP de Sorel-Tracy, his team won the first place at the national science competition, in fro
nt of 51 participating colleges. During his brief stay at ÉTS University, he was responsible for the manufacturing team of the Eclipse 5 solar-powered car. Throughout his studies Jean-François has been involved in various committees, among other things, the Board of the Quebec Collegiate Student Federation where its involvement in the negotiations with the Minister of Education contributed to the freezing of tuition fees. He was awarded the 2005 City of Sorel-Tracy Citizenship Award.
He is currently studying part time in administration at HEC Montréal. As a hobby, he enjoys skiing, rowing, running, reading, painting and investing. In 2013, he was the first person to win the "value investing contest" on the Gurufocus.com site for achieving a gain of more than 100% in less than a year.
